A small Hill Country crew that has poured more than 1,200 projects.
We started in 2008 with a single truck and a list of neighbors. We are still a small crew, and most of our work comes from past clients and referrals.
Family-owned, locally staffed, and still small on purpose.
Lakeway Concrete was started in 2008 by a contractor who had spent a decade pouring for larger outfits in Austin. The pitch was simple: do the work right, charge a fair number, and let the referrals do the marketing.
We have grown since then — to two full-time crews, a finishing team, a structural and foundation lead, and a project manager who runs the office. But we have stayed small on purpose. Every project is run by the same people who answer the phone.
We do not subcontract. The crew on your site is our crew. The quote you sign is the number we honor. The warranty is a piece of paper, not a promise.
A few milestones
- 2008
Started with a single truck in Lakeway
After a decade working for larger contractors, our founder started Lakeway Concrete with one crew, one truck, and a list of neighbors who needed driveways poured right.
- 2013
First crew expansion
Five years in, the call list outgrew the single crew. We added a second crew, bought a line pump, and brought on a project manager who still runs our field operations today.
- 2017
Stamped and decorative concrete program
Demand for stamped patios, pool decks, and decorative driveways pushed us to invest in a dedicated finishing team and a wider pattern and color library.
- 2020
Foundation and structural work
We added engineered foundations, retaining walls, and pier-and-beam systems to the service list. Today these make up roughly a third of our annual revenue.
- 2024
1,200+ projects completed
We crossed 1,200 residential projects in the Hill Country. Most of our work now comes from referrals and past clients, which is the only marketing we have ever wanted.
The people who will be on your site
Esteban Calderón
Started the company in 2008 after 10 years on commercial crews in Austin. Still walks every job site before the pour.
Tomás Reyes
Runs the crews day-to-day. If you have ever had a Lakeway Concrete crew at your house, you have met Tomás.
Beatriz Olmos
Handles the scheduling, the quotes, and the warranty walkthroughs. The voice on the other end of the phone when you call.
Henry Drummond
Engineer-turned-contractor. Runs our foundation, retaining wall, and slope-stability work.
Four things we won't compromise on.
These are not slogans. They are the reasons our clients refer us, and the reasons our warranty rate is below 1%.
We overbuild, then stop
We spec every layer of every pour for 30+ years of service. The surface is only as good as the base, the rebar, and the cure — and we never cut those corners.
We tell you what we would do if it were our home
If the right answer is a repair, we tell you. If the right answer is a different contractor, we tell you. We do not sell work that won't last.
We show up when we say we will
We confirm start dates a week in advance. We hit them. The crew arrives at 6:45am, the project manager is on-site, and you get a text when we pour.
We warranty the work, in writing
5-year workmanship warranty on every residential project. The warranty is a piece of paper, not a promise. We hand it over at the final walkthrough.
